A friend recommended my photography to his friend, who came in the following day for some fun graphics.

He's not actually holding the weights, I took a picture of my own weights and added those in post-production.
I've been having trouble locating better stock. Istockphoto.com raised their price per credit (yet again) and I haven't found a site on their l…

Soooo, I went a little bit overboard on skin correcting shannon's images. At least for an agency photo.
I toned it down a bit and gave her some extra ones as well.

I gave out a free photoshoot to the DJ from Lounge 46 (where the last SNAP* party was held) He did us a great favor by djing that night and I wanted to offer something back.
Here's some of the images.
The first one I spent about 3 hours on. 1 of those hours, however, was dedicated to looking for stock imagery.

Part of this season's
"NAME YOUR OWN PRICE" special, was a way to help aspiring models get decent headshots while also practicing and toning my skills for retouching.
I have begun on Shannon's images for her professional headshots on blemish removal.
Since Shannon will be using her images for catalog work, I do not want to smooth the skin beyond detail. There are programs that will do it for you, but I wanted to con…

On June 13th, my friends at Berit-NY, a clothing company dedicated to creating gorgeous steampunk clothing, featured their line for a SNAP VIP event. At SNAP VIP events, a select group of photographers get together and shoot models wearing a designer's fashion for a couple of hours. Each photographer offers their own unique skills and techniques to the designer through their photography and editing.
While at the shoot, I took pictures of each model individually with a mental note of how I wante…

It has been a while since I have worked on my own website. I had become so busy maintaining
www.SNAPMUP.com, that I have overlooked my own personal projects for almost a year. This website will be updated more frequently.

Raquel Reed described herself best when she stated “…basically I'm a living cartoon.” She combines bright intense hair and makeup color with a vivid fashion style to match. Steaming from what seemed to have started as a Philly trash pop scene, Raquel has mastered the Indulgent Star look. Everything from flash dancer skinny pants with denim vests to flowing intense pop dresses, Raquel models with poise and a couture quality demanding the viewer to notice her tough approach on the simplest of imag…

SNAPM is very successfully growing in popularity.
I had a blast, even for running around like a crazed person hosting the night...again.
I noticed the bar was packed all night, which is good.
My counter said 223 by the end of the night, but it did get a little bit random towards the end with all the mixed faces.
We even had 2 people, a photog from england and a model from scotland.
They were visiting a photog and came with him.
So SNAPM went international on it's second run ;)
We had a co…

When I first joined the site ModelMayhem.com, I quickly became familiar with the image enhancing mastermind known as FrizzyCube. Using bold striking colors combined with flashy, yet strategically placed and encompassing graphics, his digital manipulations became instant eye candy that lead to awe and inspiration. Though we randomly and seldom converse only through email, I couldn’t help but to ask him to be one of my first interviewees. Pi…

I truly believe there’s a secret code between designers that simply goes “Do not tell anyone your techniques.” There never seems to be any blogs, posts, videos, books or even magazines that go beyond the basic principals of using photoshop. I can’t begin to count the endless amount of beginner tutorials featuring changing eye color, cropping hair and blemish removal. So how does one person go from novice to photoshop pro, without cleaning out your pocket on an endless supply of useless materials…
